All our resources are designed to be delivered by educators and it is easy to search for lesson plans here. We also run conference calls to help you make the most of our resources. These will cover:

• how best to use all of the LifeSkills resources
• all of the LifeSkills content that young people and adults can access themselves
• any other questions you have about the programme

Thanks for getting in touch about requesting volunteers. Barclays employees support LifeSkills lessons run by professional facilitators from our charity partners at selected secondary schools and colleges across the UK according to their location and local measures of deprivation. You can check your institution’s eligibility here.

Work experience through LifeSkills is open to students aged 14-19 in full time education only. When a student has earned 250 points online or been taught LifeSkills in class, log in or register to access our work experience search. Once you find a placement and choose the dates you want, we’ll give you contact details for your chosen business. You’ll need to arrange the details with them before confirming the placement (and the student taking it) online. Over 19? A selection of teacher resources is available to download or order from our resource page when you register or log in to LifeSkills. Printed copies should arrive within 10–15 working days of your request.

You can order up to 250 LifeSkills leaflets for your careers fair here and these will arrive within 10 – 15 working days. Unfortunately, we don’t organise careers fairs attendance through LifeSkills, but we suggest contacting your local Barclays branch to ask if anyone would be available to attend your event.

Students aged 14+ are able to register for their own LifeSkills account and access all of the online content for that age group. Adult learners can see the Working Life tab and there will an update due later this year that users can access directly with a focus on starting a business or working more flexibly.

If your child is 14–19, their teacher can arrange LifeSkills work experience on their behalf. We’re afraid it’s not possible for placements to be organised by students or their parents.

If you child is 14+ they can register online. It’s completely free, and they’ll be able to begin preparing for the world of work right away with our smart CV Builder, Wheel of Strengths test and many more interactive tasks to help boost their employability skills. If they are under 14 you can register as a parent on the LifeSkills website and access some of the resources through this hub

Our work experience is currently open to 14–19 year-olds who are currently attending school or other educational institution.

No. But all students will have been through the LifeSkills programme online and/or in class, so you can count on getting interested, enthusiastic young people bursting with fresh ideas. Teachers can find and reserve the placements online for their students. We’ll notify you once a teacher reserves your placement, and you can expect them to be in touch shortly to arrange dates and other details.
